General Conditions

  • Route available from January to June and September to December 2026.
  • The stay starts on Sunday 
  • Subject to availability
  • Neither dates of the stay nor the establishments can be varied or modified during the route.
  • This route and rate are not valid for groups.
  • A credit card will always be required as a guarantee of the reservation.

Cancellations and appearance

  • The price of the first night of the route shall be the cancellation fee charged for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the day of arrival.
  • Cancellations made during the route shall not be entitled to any refund of the price paid.
  • No appearance: If the guest does not appear on the first day of the route, it will imply the cancellation of the complete route and the payment of the first night as a cancellation fee. Taxes included.

The route includes 

A 5-night stay in a standard double room on the chosen basis (bed and breakfast or half board).

The route does not include

Transport shall be at the expense of the guests, as will the tours and access to monuments or places of interest (the information offered is of a merely indicative nature).

Itinerary

Day 1

Begin your journey in Gijón, a dynamic city where the sea and mountains converge. Explore San Lorenzo Beach, the maritime promenade, and the charming fishing district of Cimadevilla. Ascend Santa Catalina hill to marvel at Chillida’s Elogio del Horizonte sculpture and enjoy sweeping coastal views. Discover Gijón’s vibrant cultural scene, including the Botanical Garden, Railway Museum, and the Laboral Ciudad de la Cultura. Savor traditional Asturian dishes like fabada, cachopo, and rice pudding, paired with locally poured cider. For a short detour, visit nearby fishing villages like Cudillero or the Niemeyer Center in Avilés.

Day 2

Cross into Galicia to reach Ribadeo, a picturesque town straddling the border between Asturias and Galicia. Highlights include the breathtaking Playa de las Catedrales, with its towering rock arches sculpted by the sea, and the Ría de Ribadeo, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve teeming with wildlife and opportunities for watersports. Explore the San Damián Fort, Puente Do Santos, and nearby Castropol. Indulge in Galician culinary delights, from fresh seafood and lacón to lobster stew and tender veal, while enjoying panoramic views from the Parador.

Day 3

Continue to Ferrol, a hidden gem of Galicia with a rich maritime and military history. Visit the emblematic Magdalena district, the San Felipe Castle, and the 18th-century naval Arsenal. Explore the Naval Museum and the Canido district, famed for its vibrant street art featuring meninas painted on facades. Stroll through the harbor, sample local tapas, or take a boat tour of the Ría de Ferrol. For nature lovers, the nearby Fragas do Eume Natural Park offers lush forests and scenic trails. Don’t leave without trying the regional specialty, pulpo a la mugardesa.

Day 4 & 5

Conclude your journey in Baiona, a historic coastal town with Roman origins. Explore the Monterreal Fortress, the Church of Santa María, and the old town with its stately homes and scenic promenade. Visit the Monte de A Groba for breathtaking views of the Rías Baixas, or take a boat trip to the Cíes Islands, known for their pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters. Relish a seafood feast paired with world-class Albariño wine, and soak in the lively summer atmosphere at beachfront terraces.
